Changing Tyres

If you do not feel comfortable diagnosing the problem before changing tires, then a professional can help.
However, determining how to change a tire can be very easy.

A sign that I can say it's time to change your tires is by how well they are performing. An example might be that your car, which usually handles well in bad weather suddenly not handling as well. Another is that it takes longer to stop when you brake.

A tire tread should not be worn beyond the legal limit, which is a minimum of 1.6 mm. TWI mold most manufacturers of tires, or wear indicators, right in the tread of tires, usually 1.6 mm. When the tire is worn to the IST, then it must be replaced.

Tire wear can be caused by several factors, not just by age and use. Emergency braking, under or over-inflation and migalignment can make you wear. Once the tire is worn, or even beyond its legal limit, changing tires is a necessity.

To prevent tire wear too soon, see if the tires are properly inflated. You will need a few simple tools.

You will need a pressure gauge on the tires to check tire pressure. This can be mechanical or electronic, or use a pump with a display built right in. You can also opt for a small compressor that feeds through your car cigarette lighter. They are great for saving time and effort, but be sure not to buy a cheap. Not working well, and often break very quickly.

If you've done all the checks, but your tires are still in bad shape, then change the tires is unavoidable. But it? Do not worry, the process can be done easily and quickly with just a few tips.

Before starting to change tires, check their cars Jack is there, you have a properly inflated spare tire, you have a wrench that properly fits your wheel, and also has the correct lug screws.

Once you have parked your car safely, be sure to put a couple of bricks or large rocks under the tires to make sure it does not rotate or move. Bring the jack, spare tire, and a wrench to where they are going to change the tires.

Start byremoving the hubcap / plate and loosening the nuts before lifting the car to prevent the wheels turning on you. Turn left to loosen until you exit. Once done, you can jack up the car.

Remove the old tire. Since I already have removed the screws, pull it with your weight forward to avoid falling backwards.

Now you're ready to put new tires. Set the tire on the threaded shaft to fit. Then you can replace the nuts, tightening in the correct order.

Once done making may decrease so that the tires are once again touching the ground. Finally you can replace the hubcap or plate.

Changing tires can be difficult the first time he tries, but once the hang of it, will be easier and easier every time you do.
